Please include a cover letter with a synopsis, word count, a third-person bio, any social media handles you would like included if published, and one song that is relative to your submission and/or really means a lot to you. You will get a response, either way, within 60 days of your submission. Simultaneous submissions encouraged - please let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere. Submissions in multiple categories allowed.
Unless otherwise noted, please keep all prose submissions to 3,500 words.
By accepting publication, you grant footshooter. first serial rights to publish your work in its original numbered issue. footshooter. retains the right to print, sell, and distribute that issue for as long as it remains in print. footshooter. may use the published work, or brief excerpts from it, for promotional purposes related to the publication and its issues.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to pay contributors or give free copies of the zine, but intend to do both ASAP.
footshooter. currently publishes primarily in black and white. Colored paper is occasionally used for artwork and poetry. If you would like your work considered for a colored page, please include your preferred page color in your submission.
